I love, love, love when good things happen to good people! Meet Joanna and Cameron. Joanna is a sweet, funny, wonderful friend of mine and she is engaged to an equally great guy. I had such a great time capturing some of their connection during their Engagement session in May. Looking forward to spending their Wedding Day with them in just a few weeks!

Oh how I loved shooting with this family! Just a little bit of love and laughter going on here This is actually one of Sarah’s teachers and his lovely family. This was a fun way to say thank you to them for all the hours they pour into teaching and all they have done for my kids. So thank you, Adam and Missy! It was such a pleasure to spend this time with you both. I loved getting to know you outside of the classroom. Have a wonderful summer and see you next year!

This is how the kids interpreted “Go cuddle with your Mom and Dad!” Ha! SO cute!

Hmmmm, I think Dad must be a superhero.

Meredith & Andy {Phoenix Maternity, Newborn, and Child Photography}

I was really excited when Meredith contacted me a few months back to schedule her Maternity session for this spring. The day of her session arrived…but so did the rain clouds! So we rescheduled for a few weeks out. The rain showed up AGAIN. Meredith was great. She really wanted a bright sunny day so we just rescheduled for another two weeks out. Low and behold, no rain clouds. But a sick little girl. (Mine!) We ended up having to reschedule about 4 times before we actually met up this past Sunday for her session! A true Murphy’s Law of events may have preceded her actual session, but our time together was lovely! The sun was shining, the day was breezy and warm and Meredith was absolutely radiant.

Andy, Meredith’s husband of three years, was a riot. He had us laughing the whole time. But the thing I will remember most about this session was they way he looked at her. My, oh my. Andy looked at Meredith like she was the most beautiful, amazing, funny, intelligent woman on the face of the planet. Every woman should be looked at like that at least once in her life. I had a great time spending time with them and I am so looking forward to meeting their new little boy when he makes his appearance! Here are some more shots taken during the Create Better Images workshop Saturday. These are all from the Bride and Groom model shoot. I have to admit, this was my favorite part of the day! Since I normally don’t focus on wedding photography I don’t often get to photograph the interaction between a bride and groom. These two were just great to work with, and we really got to play with different posing and lighting situations. Here are my favorites from the afternoon. Love, love, LOVED this couple!! Life Lessons from 2009 {Phoenix Family and Child Lifestyle Photography}

I have taken off a good month after the busy holiday season and am just getting back into the routine of working again. Kids are all back in school, life has settled down a bit and the glow of the Holiday season has passed. As I was looking through the pictures I have taken this passed year I was struck by a few beautiful things. I would call them the simple Life Lessons I have learned from all of you as we have spent time together! Thank you to my wonderful, amazing clients, family and friends who have let me follow them around with my camera. I am looking forward to all 2010 has to offer this year and pray your cup will be filled to overflowing with all of God’s blessings!

I don’t have words worthy of describing the wedding on Saturday. Joy filled. Exhilarating. Tear provoking. Lovely. So very, very sweet. Acre property. Horses neighing in the background. Mountains at sunset. And a couple so very, very much in love. There are so many pictures I want to post, but here are just a few for a sneak peak from this gorgeous day.

Natalie & Jake { Phoenix Lifestyle Photography}

Wow, these two have an amazing story. They have known each other since they were three, hanging out in the sand box together! They have been together for almost 10 years, married for 5. We got together for a session that seemed to really celebrate the good things in their life right now. I loved hearing their story. Interesting things came up in our conversation. Things like Natalie entered college at 16. Oh, and Natalie had a brain tumor that was successfully removed some time ago. She was in town for a baby shower for a good friend and also had a follow up Dr.’s appointment. It was great fun spending the morning with them! Here are some of my favorites (and there were many!!) from our session.

These two are a very sweeet, very affectionate couple!
