Happy 4th of July everyone! Yesterday we spent the day Bowling, swimming, eating and enjoying the day with wonderful friends. At the end of the day, we pilled into our car, headed to a Top Secret location in our ‘hood and watched the Fireworks. I love fireworks…they always make me feel like a little kid. I ooooh and aaaaahhhh right along with my littles, marveling over the pretty colors and bright lights!

This year I brought my camera along and had some fun capturing the light show. This is the first year I have tried to Photograph fireworks and I had so much fun playing with the settings and seeing what effects I could come up with. Here are a few of my favorites from the evening!

Hope everyone had a safe, fun filled day celebrating the amazing Freedom we have here in the U.S.! A huge thank you to all our troops who help keep it that way

This past weekend I had the opportunity to capture some pictures for a celebration thrown for one of our teaching pastors at church.

It was great fun to be a part of this evening and celebration. So grateful for both John and Stacey and all they do!

Junior Achievement of Arizona’s Woman’s Golf Classic

A few weeks back I had the opportunity of spending the day out at beautiful McCormick Ranch Golf Club as the photography sponsor for Junior Achievement of Arizona’s Women’s Golf Classic. It was a fabulous day! There was a great turnout of women to support this wonderful organization. The day was spent golfing, laughing with friends, making new connections and being pampered. There were also some fabulous Raffle prizes through out the day, including trips and spa packages! The day wrapped up with a lovely lunch and both a Silent and Live Auction.

Here is just a glimpse of the day! I hope you will take a moment to check out JA’s website. This is a great organization that teaches highly valuable skills to kids in our community. There are many ways to get involved. Who knows, maybe we’ll see you there next year!

Paging Dr. Nick…Paging Dr. Nick… {Phoenix High School Senior Photography}

Okay, maybe not yet, but it very well could happen someday in the future! Meet Nick, another of my senior sessions. I was very impressed with this young man. He was very comfortable in his skin and has a quiet confidence about him that is very engaging. Best of luck to you, Nick. It was great to meet you and your family!

I have to say that an interesting thing happened during his session. We had a great time shooting and hanging out capturing a couple different looks. Then he changed into his scrubs and it was like someone turned on an extra light source. His entire body language changed. His smile was bigger, his intensity changed. It was pretty cool to watch. I had to include one of those shots here, because they really are my favorites from our session!
