Ahhhh…summer. So ironic to be posting this as we near the middle of September. We had a lovely week soaking in the sun, playing on the beach and enjoying some down time together as a family. Here are just a quick few from our Mexico Vacation 2011.

This trip was a little bit different for me. I very much wanted to be present for my kids, so I left my camera behind for most of the time we were there. It was a wonderful time and we played our hearts out. Looking forward to going back again next year!

Happy 4th of July everyone! Yesterday we spent the day Bowling, swimming, eating and enjoying the day with wonderful friends. At the end of the day, we pilled into our car, headed to a Top Secret location in our ‘hood and watched the Fireworks. I love fireworks…they always make me feel like a little kid. I ooooh and aaaaahhhh right along with my littles, marveling over the pretty colors and bright lights!

This year I brought my camera along and had some fun capturing the light show. This is the first year I have tried to Photograph fireworks and I had so much fun playing with the settings and seeing what effects I could come up with. Here are a few of my favorites from the evening!

Hope everyone had a safe, fun filled day celebrating the amazing Freedom we have here in the U.S.! A huge thank you to all our troops who help keep it that way

Oh how I loved shooting with this family! Just a little bit of love and laughter going on here This is actually one of Sarah’s teachers and his lovely family. This was a fun way to say thank you to them for all the hours they pour into teaching and all they have done for my kids. So thank you, Adam and Missy! It was such a pleasure to spend this time with you both. I loved getting to know you outside of the classroom. Have a wonderful summer and see you next year!

This is how the kids interpreted “Go cuddle with your Mom and Dad!” Ha! SO cute!

Hmmmm, I think Dad must be a superhero.

Brains and beauty…what a powerful combination! Meet the lovely Samantha. A graduating High School Senior who is planning on becoming a Neurologist. Loved hearing her heart about helping others who suffer from migraines and how that has shaped her dreams for her future. Best of luck to you, Sam!

I did not want to let the day get away without posting pictures from a very fun recent session. Last year I got the chance to meet Andrea and her Grand daughter, Alexys. This year I got to shoot Tyler’s Senior pictures and meet the rest of the cousins! Andrea was the winner of the free Portrait giveaway I did this year. I love shooting Maternity and newborn sessions! There is just something so beautiful about pregnancy to me. Especially with a Mama to be like Kerri. It was so fun to take Kerri’s pictures because she is so comfortable in her Baby Belly skin. Beautiful natural lighting and a sweet soon to be Big Brother made for a very fun session. Enjoy a few favorites from our time together. Cannot wait to meet little Samuel when he makes his arrival!

Okay, it is way past noon and I am late getting this posted! I have been knocked out with a cold today (Oh, the irony!) but I wanted to let you know who the winner is before the day got away.
