I love shooting Maternity and newborn sessions! There is just something so beautiful about pregnancy to me. Especially with a Mama to be like Kerri. It was so fun to take Kerri’s pictures because she is so comfortable in her Baby Belly skin. Beautiful natural lighting and a sweet soon to be Big Brother made for a very fun session. Enjoy a few favorites from our time together. Cannot wait to meet little Samuel when he makes his arrival!

Paying it Forward…win a Complete Portrait Session! {Phoenix Lifestyle and Family Photography}

For those of you who follow my blog at all, you might remember that I did a Portrait Give away for a High School Senior last year. I enjoyed it so much I decided to make it a part of my Holiday traditions. But this year I wanted to do it a little bit differently. In this season of giving and in this year when so many people are hurting financially, I feel so fortunate to have a job I love and that lets me pay the bills by using my creativity. I know that hiring a professional Photographer is a huge investment and it is not in every ones reach to do so. I am so grateful to all of you who have included me as a part of your memories this year!

I would love to pay the blessings forward by gifting a complete Portrait Session including all High Resolution Images on a disk. There are no limitations this year on who can win….Nominate a family, a new or soon to be mom, or a High School Senior. Husbands, think your wife is amazing and know she has always wanted portraits done? Do you have the most amazing Mom/Dad/Best friend whom you want to give the gift of memories? Tell me all about it! What I loved last year was reading about the teens whom you love and are proud of. I am so looking forward to reading your stories this year!

Tell me about the truly wonderful person who should win a free portrait session! Tell me (in a few paragraphs please!) why this person is so wonderful and most importantly, why do you think they should win a free portrait session. These do not have to be hardship stories. Tell me about the person who makes you laugh the hardest or bakes the best chocolate chip cookies in the world. Me and my trusty nominations committee (READ: Me, my husband, my mom and my three kids!) will pick one lucky winner based on the entries. And yes, you can nominate yourself!

The What:
The winner must live here in the Phoenix metro area. Portrait session will take place between Feb 1 – March 30, 2011
The winning entry will receive a 2 hour Portrait Session at a location here in the Phoenix metro area and the entire disc of all the final, edited images (usually 30-35 per session). There is no obligation to purchase anything! Wahoo!

The Who:
Nominate someone in your life and email me as to why he/she is so wonderful and deserving of a free session. (and remember, you can nominate yourself!)
I must receive all emailed entries by Midnight PST Friday, December 10, 2010. The Winner will be announced by Noon PST here on this blog and on my Facebook page on Monday, December 13th….just in time to make this a great Holiday Gift!

The How:
Send emails to sandi@sandishipleyphotography.com. Email me your entry by the deadline. Include your own full name and contact information. Also include the name of the person you are nominating, how you know them, and why they are so deserving. If you want to include a small picture of the person you are nominating you may but it is not required! The winning entry will be emailed to make arrangements for contacting the winner. Tell a friend!

The Fine Print:
Emails MUST be received before the deadline. Entries received after Midnight on Friday 12/10/10 will not be considered. Winning person(s) must either live here in the Phoenix metro area or be able to get here and session must be completed in February or March of 2011. Dates will be scheduled according to photographers availability during those months.

Happy, Happy Thanksgiving everyone! This has been a super busy week but I did not want to let it end without posting a few of my favorites from this very sweet session. This is the third year in a row I have had the privilege of doing holiday pictures for Sarah and her sweet little guy, Jack. It is so much fun to see the changes in this super fun, super sweet little boy. Last year we ran like crazy. This year we threw rocks into the ponds, looked for ducks and just explored. Well, well well…after taking several months off, I am back to post the start of the Holiday sessions for 2010! There is no better way to kick off my holiday season than by taking pictures of some very good friends. So, without further ado…the lovely Waddell family!

Meredith & Andy {Phoenix Maternity, Newborn, and Child Photography}

I was really excited when Meredith contacted me a few months back to schedule her Maternity session for this spring. The day of her session arrived…but so did the rain clouds! So we rescheduled for a few weeks out. The rain showed up AGAIN. Meredith was great. She really wanted a bright sunny day so we just rescheduled for another two weeks out. Low and behold, no rain clouds. But a sick little girl. (Mine!) We ended up having to reschedule about 4 times before we actually met up this past Sunday for her session! A true Murphy’s Law of events may have preceded her actual session, but our time together was lovely! The sun was shining, the day was breezy and warm and Meredith was absolutely radiant.

Andy, Meredith’s husband of three years, was a riot. He had us laughing the whole time. But the thing I will remember most about this session was they way he looked at her. My, oh my. Andy looked at Meredith like she was the most beautiful, amazing, funny, intelligent woman on the face of the planet. Every woman should be looked at like that at least once in her life. I had a great time spending time with them and I am so looking forward to meeting their new little boy when he makes his appearance! Life Lessons from 2009 {Phoenix Family and Child Lifestyle Photography}

I have taken off a good month after the busy holiday season and am just getting back into the routine of working again. Kids are all back in school, life has settled down a bit and the glow of the Holiday season has passed. As I was looking through the pictures I have taken this passed year I was struck by a few beautiful things. I would call them the simple Life Lessons I have learned from all of you as we have spent time together! Thank you to my wonderful, amazing clients, family and friends who have let me follow them around with my camera. I am looking forward to all 2010 has to offer this year and pray your cup will be filled to overflowing with all of God’s blessings!

Well, I did this backwards! I just posted pictures of baby Sienna and went to link Katy’s maternity pictures to the post. But that’s a little hard to do when you don’t post them! In the craziness of the Holiday season I forgot to post pictures from Katy’s Baby Belly session. Which is amazing really, because one of my all time new favorite shots was from this sessions. So without further delay….here you go!!

And one of my new absolute favorite shots!!! Love this one. Big sister Charlotte has so much personality!

Meet sweet Sienna. Last month I did Katy’s maternity session out at their home. I recently went back to meet the lovely and very tiny baby Sienna. I really enjoyed meeting this family and I have a feeling you will be seeing more of them in the future!

Cali, Tomi and Shae- 4 Week old Triplets {Phoenix Newborn, Child and Family Photographer}

Last week I had a session with three very adorable, very tiny little girls! Meet Cali, Tomi and Shae. We planned the session on the day they turned 4 weeks old. I have never photographed triplets before and it was a complete joy! Birth weights for these little ones were 6 1/2 lbs, 5 1/2lbs and 4 3/4 lbs. Can you imagine?? Tomi and Shea are identical, down to their adorable ears! Shea is the smallest and was the most alert during our time together. Cali, little dreamer that she is, slept the entire time through. Wow, what an amazing gift! Arielle, hats off to the wonderful job you are doing with these newest little ones and fifteen month old big brother Christian! Much, much more to come, but I wanted to post a sneak peak for you and your family. Enjoy!

I love, love, LOVE doing maternity sessions! I love how hopeful mom’s-to-be are for their children. I love how pregnancy can allow you to celebrate your own beautiful body in a way that seems so much harder to do during any other season. Meet beautiful Anne. She is having her first son, a baby boy, in December. The nursery is all done. Baby showers are happening and life is sweet. Anne and hubby did GREAT during their session! Thank you for asking me to come capture these images of beautiful you!
