When it comes to choosing your senior wardrobe, dresses can be key pieces in your fashion arsenal. Especially with our Arizona weather, often dresses can be worn through much of the year, with just a few accessory changes or additions. Below, you’ll see a super chic senior, Ashley, who wore a few different dress styles for her mini session with me.
-The Boho Mini: A short, flirty mini dress belongs in every girl’s wardrobe. We love this feminine one from Free People, which looks adorable with suede ankle boots and tights for fall, or with knee length gladiator sandals for summer. Throw a denim jacket over it for a different look, or throw a tee underneath for extra warmth.
-The Solid Maxi: One of the most versatile pieces you’ll ever own, a solid maxi can be dressed up or down, and will take you from season to season incredibly easily. I love the look of a black maxi like this one, which would also be a great item to take to college! Whether for professional things like a speech (add a blazer), or for an evening dinner out (with heels!), a black maxi will become your new Little Black Dress!
-The Statement Dress: A dress with one jaw-dropping detail can be a super fun addition to your senior session. I know, it won’t be worn as often as a practical dress like the ones above, but it can be a really special memory to include your prom dress or favorite formal. Even just a dress with beaded accents, or an open back can be a showstopper. We love this one from Nordstrom (one of Ashley’s favorite places to shop!)
Special thanks to my model, Ashley, from Xavier College Prep! I can’t wait to see her again in the spring for her full session!
